Hot Take: The “New” Old Cracker Barrel
Friday, (8/22/25) I wrote this article about Cracker Barrel changing their logo:

As you can see by reading the article that I was totally surprised how everyone was reacting. It's crazy how today's America is so ridiculous about things that they really have no business in. Like a company's logo.
If This Logo Madness Is America, We're In SO Much Trouble
Bashing a business and not shopping or patronizing them over a logo is your right.
- This is America. If that's what makes your ticker tock, then definitely deny yourself delicious chicken fried steak over a logo. Just leaves more for the rest of us.
- It's like saying you're not riding in your friends car anymore because they got a paint job.
You could just stop going there if it bothers you so much. Seriously. We have that power in America.
There Are Some Other Things Going On In America That Should Raise Alarm Bells
Instead of being up in arms about a logo, there are plenty of things in America right now that could raise alarm bells.
- Soldiers standing in our streets
- Gerrymandering not only in public, but proudly gerrymandering elections and bragging about to everyone who will listen
- Suing networks until they are bankrupt to change how news is presented and get rid of employees, like Stephan Colbert, who speak out like Americans have every right to do
- Going through museums and ERASING HISTORY
This is just the tip of the iceberg what we could be up in arms about. But we're not. Can you imagine the power the Smithsonian would have if we all shouted Don't Erase History the same way we shouted Don't Change The Logo?
Instead, we're just going to bully businesses and people until the whole country is some Little House on The Prairie version of America where old people are homeless and kids are being humiliated in schools because their parents are poor and can't always pay the lunch tab. Cool. Not just cool, but super cool.
For those of you who called and wrote Cracker Barrel and got them to go back, you must be so in awe of the power you all have. Way to go.
