Logging Creek Campground To Close For Major Upgrades
Central Montana is home to some pretty epic campgrounds.
One of my favorites is located in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, just a short distance from Great Falls.
However, I was slightly shocked that this campground would be closed this summer!
Logging Creek Campground Closure
The US Forest Service recently announced that Logging Creek campground, along Belt Creek, will be closed from May 9th to October 31st.
This is a super popular camping spot in the area, and the message was a bit cryptic about why it was going to be closed.
The closure of the Logging Creek campground is intended to improve the campground and upgrade facilities.
Some of the upgrades will include pull-through campsites for larger trailers and RVs and enhancements to the existing campground facilities throughout the area.

Unfortunately, the campground will be closed during the construction project, and camping will be prohibited.
Violations of the closure order will result in fines up to $5000 for individuals or $10,000 for organizations.
Believe it or not, imprisonment for up to six months is also possible.
So, steer clear of this area until the construction is completed.
I am excited to see the campground and all the improvements once completed.
