Meet One Of Montana’s Career Criminals And He’s Been Arrested Again.

For at least the past 30 years he's been a criminal in Montana.  His rap sheet is almost two pages long and in it includes at least seven prior felony convictions dating back to 1990.  His first conviction in Montana was in June of 1990 when he was sentenced on a theft charge.  He received 60 months, all suspended.

His name is Chester Wendell Brown and he was arrested here in Great Falls on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, on New Years Eve.  He's been found guilty already on seven different drunk driving charges.  His first arrest for DUI was back in April of 1998,  his second was in October of the same year.  He had two more in 1999, one in 2003 and one again in 2004 and again in 2020.  He has yet to be tried on the latest DUI and is back in jail today because he failed to appear in court as required and an arrest warrant was issued.

According to Montana Prison records he has served time in the state pen on some of those prior DUI convictions.  When arrested on the latest charge he was also found to be driving on a revoked license,  not wearing a seat belt, no insurance and failure to yield the right of way causing an accident.  When police approached his vehicle they reported a strong odor of alcohol and according to charging documents,  he told police,  "I am Chester Brown, take me to jail."
