Governor Gianforte emphasized the importance of protecting the rights enshrined in the Second Amendment. "As Montanans, we’re proud of our Second Amendment-protected right to keep and bear arms and know we have a responsibility to preserve it," the governor stated.

Montana is a constitutional carry state that allows people to open and concealed carry without registering a firearm or needing a permit.

You can also get a permit in Montana to carry a concealed weapon.

This permit gives you reciprocal rights, and 34 other states and Montana also recognize 43 different states' concealed weapon permits.
