About a month ago, my family and I relocated to Montana from Idaho, where we lived for about four years. Before that, I spent all of my life in South Texas never imagining that my career would take me to a state as beautiful as Montana.

Now, after living in the state for just over thirty days, I've been able to formulate some thoughts on living in the Treasure State.

First Impressions Of Living In Montana

Driving to Montana from Idaho is quite the experience and one of the most peaceful drives you could make. For someone who's only been living up north for a little more than four years, it was quite the first impression to the state of Montana.

Once I arrived and was able to get settled in Great Falls, it was time to explore.

When moving to a new area, you like to know what's good to eat and what's cool to see. Naturally, one of the first things I had to learn was where I could find good barbecue. Not being in Texas for a few years had me craving some delicious, tasty, and fatty brisket.

I was all set for food but what no one prepared me for was the beautiful August weather or the stunning views of the sky.

They Don't Call It Big Sky Country For Nothing!

Being from the state, I always heard the phrase: "Everything's bigger in Texas."

And while that might be true in some aspects, there's a reason why Montana is known as "Big Sky Country."

Over the last thirty plus days, I've done my best to capture photos of my time in Montana and decided to share some of the things that, I believe, would make anyone fall in love with the state of Montana. In these photos are stunning views of the "Big Sky", food, and even the community rallying around Friday night football.
