Meet The Best Of The Best Teachers In Montana
It takes a special kind of person to shape the minds of young individuals and guide them through their educational journeys.
The best of the best educators in Montana have officially been announced.
The 2025 Teacher of the Year finalist in Montana started with 72 nominations.
“We are all Montana proud of the four finalists. Congratulations on being chosen as a finalist, and best of luck during the interview process," said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen.
The top finalist will represent Montana during the 2025 National Teacher of the Year Program in Washington, D.C.

2025 Teacher of The Year Finalists In Montana
The teaching careers of the folks listed below range from 9 to 28 years.
- Dawn Sievers, Power Schools, Power
- Teaches 7th grade English and 7-12th grade Spanish and Art
- Jennifer Fleek Airne, Billings Senior High School, Billings
- Teaches 12th grade English, AP Literature and Composition, and a student council leadership course
- Jordan Capp, Hellgate Elementary, Missoula
- Teaches 5th grade
- Megan Brenna, East Side Intermediate School, Livingston
- Teaches 5th grade
The Montana Teacher of the Year program honors outstanding educators throughout the state.
The program also provides opportunities for professional development to further heighten their leadership skills.
Choosing The Best Teachers In Montana
A committee comprised of representatives from various educational bodies will conduct interviews on September 20th to select the Montana teacher of the year.
