Over the years, going to the movies has become less popular.

I think this was largely in part to COVID-19 and many movie theaters shutting completely down during the pandemic.

Movie theaters across the country have struggled to regain their foothold with customers and many have been offering incentives to get folks back in their theater seats.

As of recently, at least here in Great Falls, it seems that more and more folks have been attending the movies!

Movie Attendance

My wife and I live relatively close to the marketplace, and I often drive by the AMC Theater on my way home.

Over the last month or so, I've noticed a good number of cars in the parking lot on most afternoons and evenings.

Especially on the weekends the parking lot outside the AMC theater has been absolutely packed!

This made me wonder if folks are finally starting to return to watching movies in person at the theater.

Streaming vs Movie Theater

Obviously, streaming a movie at your house is incredibly convenient and easier than ever.

But in my opinion, there's something better than sitting in front of the big screen and immersing yourself in a new movie.

Not to mention the popcorn!

I'm not sure what they do, but it always tastes better at the movie theater.

Streaming, in my opinion, doesn't do a good movie justice!

So, what are your thoughts on more folks finally returning to the theater?
