
Montana Awards $1.5 Million In Film Grants To 29 Projects
Over the years, numerous movies and TV shows have been filmed in Montana.
But ever since the debut of the hit TV show Yellowstone, Montana has been the backdrop for even more films.
The thing to remember about Montana's film industry is its economic impact on the Treasure State.
Montana Film Grants
To help boost Montana's film industry, the Montana Department of Commerce announced 1.5 million in grant funding that will be distributed to 29 different film projects.
This funding is part of the Department of Commerce's Big Sky Film Grant program.
This program supports on-location productions across Montana that stimulate economic growth, especially in rural communities.

According to the Montana Department of Commerce, these 29 projects that received funding are expected to generate $11.3 million in economic growth.
The BSFG program received 101 applications totaling over $16 million in funding requests this year.
The Big Sky Film Grant program has supported nearly 380 film projects in Montana and awarded over $13 million in grant funding.

El Jinete Films, LLC: $100,000 for "New Dawn Rising"
Inside Voices, LLC: $100,000 for "Gone by Morning"
It's Happening Now, LLC: $100,000 for "Floating"
Level 1 Productions, Inc.: $75,000 for "Dead Air"
Story House Montana, LLC: $100,000 for "St. George"
The Reformer, LLC: $150,000 for "Voice Out"
Feature Film and Television Resident Only Grants
99 Productions, LLC: $100,000 for "Counting to a Thousand"
Rob G. Green Photography, LLC: $100,000 for "Traverse"
Saltland Productions, LLC: $100,000 for "Warrior Cowboys"
Short-Form Content Grants
Montana SOL, LLC: $15,000 for "The Age of Wellness"
Play Practice Productions, LLC: $25,000 for "Dr. Randall & Sons' Traveling Medicine Show"
Rare Antiquities: $35,000 for "The Blistering, Blundering West"
Velocity Films, LLC: $40,000 for "Last Stand at Butte City"
Venture Digital Media, LLC: $50,000 for "Mobtana"
