Safety Town Teaches Kids Vital Skills For The Road Ahead
Safety Town is returning to Great Falls and will provide a hands-on learning experience this year, with more opportunities for children to develop essential safety skills.
Safety Town will be from June 16th to the 27th and is a partnership with the National Safety Town Center and the Great Falls Public Schools Foundation.
About Safety Town
Safety Town was founded in 1937 by a police officer and a kindergarten teacher following a tragic accident where a child was struck and killed while walking to school.
Following this event, Safety Town's mission was to teach children about traffic safety.
Over the years, the program has expanded to cover a wide range of safety topics.
The ultimate goal is to reduce accidental injuries and deaths by empowering children with safety tools and the knowledge they need to stay safe.

What is Safety Town?
Safety town is designed to be a fun and interactive educational program that equips young children with safety concepts.
Participants will learn about street safety, fire safety, and railroad safety.
The program, which is offered in two daily sessions at the Skyline Early Learning Family Center, aims to help children develop positive attitudes and behaviors toward safety.
By the end of the program, children will have a strong understanding of how to avoid danger in everyday environments, cross streets safely, and ultimately know what to do in an emergency.
