It's been a hot minute since we've had such an impressive winter here in North Central Montana.

Most areas have seen above-average snow, precipitation, and temperatures below average.

Overall, the snow hasn't had much of a chance to melt with the frigid temperatures, so needless to say, it's been stacking up all across town.

Since the temperatures will skyrocket over the next couple of days, the snow will soon be a thing of the past.

I figured, why not document some of the snow piles around town?

We recently asked all of you to send photos of the impressive snow piles here in Great Falls.

Check out what we received…

As mentioned above, temperatures will continue to climb over the next few days, leading to rapid snow melt.

Along with the rapid snow melt will come some flooding concerns.

I scribbled up an article on this just the other day; you can check it out below.

The other big concern over the next few days will be ice jams.

Montana is home to the most reported ice jams in the lower 48.
