Piano Performer Has Montana State Fair Crowds Speechless

We're nearing the end of July and the Montana State Fair is in full swing! Crazy to think about, right? It got here pretty quick and people from all over are making it out to experience the fun and excitement.

My family and I had the chance to make it out this past weekend and I'll be candid with you: I didn't know really what to expect. I've been in Montana just under a year and I was excited to see what the hype was all about.

Anything Can Happen at the Montana State Fair!

When we got there, we had to stop and see my buddy Baker Bob who has been serving up the fair entertainers over the years. He gave us a behind-the-scenes look at everything and some stories about the performers that have graced the stage at the Montana State Fair.

Afterwards, we made our way to grab the kiddos some sweet treats before enjoying games and rides. Don't worry - they're little and weren't planning on riding anything that would make them feel queasy!

While the kids sat and enjoyed their treats on a very conveniently placed bench (shout out to the ExpoPark!), we heard what sounded like a full-fledged live concert coming our way.

While it wasn't exactly a band, it was one of the coolest solo performers I can recall seeing in-person in recent memory.

The Strolling Piano

As we're sitting there hearing The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back", we noticed it was coming from one guy on a piano that was moving. He sat playing as this strolling piano literally did just that, weaving through traffic (seemingly on its own) while the piano player poured out his soul in performances that felt award-winning.

I feel really bad not being able to get to him to throw him a tip or being able to get his name but hopefully someone who knows him will see this and let him know how awesome his performance was.

Did I mention he was in full performance attire under the blistering sun on Friday? For our first time at the fair, this was a performance and experience I'll never forget.
