This could probably be the best kept secret in Great Falls and it is free for the public.  It sits on Malmstrom Air Force Base on the east end of town and it's called the Malmstrom Museum and Air Park.

There you will see some of the coolest old military aircraft around.  It has one of the largest military model aircraft displays in the northwest.

You can get into the museum at Malmstrom AFB by heading to the visitor center located at the Second Avenue North Gate.  If you want to take a special tour with a group of people you should contact the base in advance at 406-731-2705.

Inside the museum you will also see flight suits and survival equipment displays,  missile launch consoles, uniform displays, a world war two era barracks and more.

Non-DoD ID cardholder will need to process through the visitor center and a valid state issued drivers license or picture ID will be needed.

Non US citizens will be required to show a valid passport.

It is a great place to see and a place you should take the kids this summer.
