Great Falls Museum Named Tourism Destination Of The Year
All too often, folks in our community think there isn't anything special about Great Falls.
Frankly, that couldn't be further from the truth.
Thousands of visitors come to Great Falls every year to explore what our city has to offer.
If that isn't a testament, I don't know what is.
Governor's Conference on Tourism and Recreation
The Governor's Conference on Tourism and Recreation celebrates tourism and the industry's achievements in the Treasure State each year.
The goal is to recognize outstanding contributions to the state's tourism sector and awards honor winners across seven categories.
The categories are Tourism Destination of the Year, Heritage and Cultural Tourism, Tribal Tourism, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Tourism Ambassador of the Year, Film Community of the Year, and Excellence in Film and Culture.
"This conference is a great platform for Montana's top tourism professionals, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and others to share information and ideas to help grow one of our state's largest industries," said Paul Green, Director of the Montana Department of Commerce. "On behalf of all of us at the Montana Department of Commerce, congratulations to our Tourism Award winners for their excellence in sharing what makes our state so inspiring to visitors year after year."
Great Falls Museum Honored
The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls was this year's winner of the Tourism Destination of the Year Award.
This award recognizes outstanding achievements in advancing tourism through marketing, product development, destination events, activities, and compelling experiences in the tourism industry.
According to the Montana Chamber of Commerce, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center welcomes approximately 50,000 visitors annually and consistently ranks on Trip Advisor as the number one place to visit in Great Falls.
