A couple of days ago, Georgia-based Perdue Foods LLC announced a voluntary recall of approximately 167,171 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken breast nuggets and tender products.
According to the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, the product may contain thin metal shavings.

Products were produced on March 23, 2024.
- PERDUE Simply Smart ORGANICS Breaded CHICKEN BREAST NUGGETS:
- 22-oz. vacuum-sealed packages with a Best If Used By date of “03 23 25”.
- PERDUE CHICKEN BREAST TENDERS:
- 29-oz. vacuum-sealed packages with a Best If Used By date of “03 23 25”.
- BUTCHERBOX Organic Chicken Breast Nuggets:
- 22-oz. vacuum-sealed packages with a Best If Used By date of “03 23 25”.
All of the packages have “P-33944” on the back.
Keep in mind that packages were distributed nationwide as well as online.
Anyone who purchased the products is urged to discard them or return them to the place of purchase.
