GFPD finds body

Great Falls Police are asking the public for help in identifying a body found in the 1300 block of Central Avenue this week. Police say the body was badly decomposed but they believe it might be an adult female.

They are asking anyone who may be missing a family member to reach out to GFPD at 406-455-8522.

Due to the state of decomposition, the cause of death has not yet been determined. The body has now been taken to the state crime lab. police say the remains were found behind some bushes and next to the foundation of a building. And based on what was found with the body, police say this person was at least a temporary transient.
