One of the greatest joys I had when my daughter was in High School was watching her perform in the Choir at CMR under the direction of Mrs. Ryan.  I even jokingly say, that is the reward I got for watching her perform in Kindergarten through 8th grade.  Yes- I enjoyed everything my kids did in elementary and middle school, but the quality of their performance in High School was truly enjoyable.

I recently had an opportunity to visit with a couple of CMR kids that are gearing up for the All Northwest Honor Choir and Band Festival.  Here is the transcription of what they told me:

Hi, I'm Morgan Dunn: I'm a senior at CMR and I'm involved in both the Chanteur and Rustler Choirs. And I'm here to talk about the All Northwest Honor Choir and Band Festival in February in Bellevue, Washington.

I'm Andrew Dinh. I'm a senior at CMR High School. I'm involved in the Chanteur and Rustler Choirs.

Morgan: The All Northwest Festival is an incredible opportunity for the Great Falls students who are involved, the impact this festival brings and courage’s students to continue their music careers after finishing high school. The amount of learning our students will acquire on this trip is tremendous.

Andrew: We're inviting you to join us at Black Eagle Community Center (2332 Smelter Ave NE, Black Eagle, MT) for our All Northwest fundraiser this Thursday, January 26. Doors open at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30 pm. There will be a silent, live and dessert auction and a special choir group from CMR performing at the venue. Tickets are available to purchase from any CMR music student who are participating in All Northwest at $25 (or at the door).

Morgan: Thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to seeing you at the Black Eagle Community Center this Thursday.

Morgan and Andrew: Go Rustlers.

Speaking with these young adults always puts a smile on my face and the thought that our future is in good hands.  If you want to help them on their journey, tickets can be bought from Crystal Dunn by calling 406-868-8323, Mandy Brumwell at 406-868-9315 or Stephanie Banks at 406-799-7330 or you can purchase them at the door.

The dinner provided will have three different options including Chicken, Steak Bites or Vegetarian. Don’t forget, as an added bonus you will get to enjoy a sneak peek at some of the talent these kids have as they will put on a small performance at the event.
