One of the most certain things about the Treasure State is that every summer is filled with road construction!

I think most Montana residents would argue that road construction could have its very own season!

And it appears this next couple of years will be no different.

The Montana Department of Transportation recently announced they're planning a resurfacing project near Craig, Montana.

The project will include 8 miles of Interstate 15.

I-15 Project Details

  • Location: They plan to start north of the Augusta interchange near exit 228 and extend 8 miles north, eventually stopping about 3 miles south of the Dearborn rest area.
  • Work Includes:
    • Crack sealing
    • Seal and cover (chip seal)
    • Upgraded pavement markings
    • New signage

The project's ultimate goal is to extend the pavement's lifespan and improve safety by enhancing the skid resistance.
