Lobby Remodel Update From The Great Falls Police Department

The Great Falls Police Department recently announced that its office will undergo renovations over the next few weeks.

The project's goal is to enhance the functionality and safety of the Great Falls Police Department's lobby.

GFPD Construction Update

The lobby updates at the Great Falls Police Department started on March 17th.

The Great Falls Police Department's lobby will remain fully accessible and open to the public during the construction.

Citizens needing to access the Great Falls Police Department lobby can use the main doors on the north side of the department.

There will be a temporary service window immediately inside the entrance.

The project is anticipated to last around four weeks.

Grand Funding For Renovations

The renovations at the Great Falls Police Department are made possible by both the state's Local Infrastructure Partnership Grant and a funding initiative established by the Montana Legislature's House Bill 355.

The grant requires a 25% match to the total cost of the project, and the Great Falls City Commission approved it in March 2024.

Following the allocation of the State Local Infrastructure Partnership Grant Funds on April 19th, 2024, Guy Tabacco Construction was awarded a construction contract on December 3rd, 2024.

The total cost of the renovations is $67,042.50.

This required $21,250 in matching funds.
