RECALL ALERT: Cookie Dough Sold In Montana Has Salmonella
It's the most wonderful time of year and for many, it's all about Christmas trees, spreading joy and kindness, and of course, holiday lights and decorations.
But you could argue there is just one thing missing from that list...
Baking Cookies For Christmas This Year? Watch Out!
There are all sorts of family Christmas traditions out there and one of the most popular (and most necessary) traditions of them all is making cookies to leave out for Santa.
My kids absolutely love making cookies for Santa and we do it every single year. One of their favorite parts about it all is sneaking bites of cookie dough along the way.

Popular Cookie Dough Contaminated With Salmonella
According to the Food & Drug Administration, 12 oz. units of Hudson River Foods Corp's Doughy brand Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough are being recalled due to risk of Salmonella contamination. The FDA has classified the recall as a Class 1 food risk which makes it the most dangerous because it can cause serious health issues or even death.

The FDA says that contaminated product was shipped to stores in 15 total states including Montana. The products will also have a "Best By/Expiration Date" of July 2, 2026.
So check your dough before the kids eat them and especially before Santa swings into town. You wouldn't want to get the big guy sick, would you?
