Here’s How To Nominate Someone For Montana’s EMS Awards
The Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has issued a call for nominations for the upcoming annual Emergency Medical Services (EMS) awards ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Capitol Rotunda in Helena.
Honoring EMS Excellence In Montana
Scheduled during Emergency Medical Services Week, which runs from May 19-25, with a special focus on EMS for Children Day on May 22, the event aims to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations within Montana's EMS system.
Award Categories
- EMS Volunteer Provider of the Year Award: Recognizing a Volunteer Emergency Care Provider who demonstrates excellence in patient care and community dedication.
- EMS Career Provider of the Year Award: This award honors a Career Emergency Care Provider for their exceptional quality of care and commitment to the community.
- EMS Service of the Year Award: Celebrating a volunteer or paid EMS agency that consistently enhances patient care through various initiatives such as education, injury prevention, and community engagement.
- 911 Dispatcher of the Year Award: Acknowledging a 911 dispatcher's exemplary performance as the first responder in medical emergencies.
- EMS Supporter of the Year Award: This award honors an individual who has provided exceptional support to an EMS agency or the broader EMS System, whether as a law enforcement officer, healthcare provider, public official, or community member.
- EMS for Children Pediatric EMS Award: This award recognizes an individual's excellence in providing pediatric EMS care and education, serving as a role model for colleagues, and demonstrating a commitment to high-quality, professional care for pediatric patients.
How to Nominate
Members of the public, EMS providers, and interested parties are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals and organizations.
Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
