The National FFA Organization began in 1928 in Kansas City, MO.  Montana joined in 1930 and has continued to grow ever since. Learn more about MT FFA HERE.

The organization has helped shaped thousands of students into productive leaders in every facet of life. Over the last 95 years, there have been several families that have shared the love of FFA from generation to generation. This story, as well as the stories to follow, are about the families that have left their legacy on the State of Montana FFA program.

The first family I am going to talk about is the Stevenson family. Thank you to Darrell Stevenson for compiling the data for this article.

Stevenson Angus Ranch

Black Angus Cattle

The Stevenson’s have compiled 14 members that have achieved the American FFA Degree, 16 State FFA Degrees and have held eight different State Officer Positions and one National Officer Position. The awards and accolades are impressive, but what have they done with them?

The Stevenson family is well known around the world for their Angus Cattle operation. With their home base set near Hobson, MT (population 179) their seed stock has covered the globe. Each generation has taken what their predecessors have provided, and expanded it to the next level while giving the next generation the same love and passion for the cattle industry.

The FFA Motto
