This Food Combo Could Be Montana’s Next Big Obsession
If there's one thing we love talking about almost more than anything (and there's a lot to talk about), it's food. Whether it's talking about it, eating it, looking at it, taking photos, etc. And I'm totally okay with speaking for others because I think most would agree: food is one of the best things ever.
Odd Food Combo In Montana... ?
Up until about four and a half years ago, my entire life has been spent in South Texas in a little area called Leon Springs, which is about 15-20 minutes outside of San Antonio, Texas.
So when I arrived in Great Falls, I immediately felt right at home. The vibe, aura, and even lifestyle of Great Falls is very similar to that of South Texas.

That is, until, I found out that I'm an outcast for bringing up a food combination to a coworker recently.
"When you get chicken tenders, do you go with ranch or honey mustard?" a coworker asked me.
"Neither. I go with gravy," I replied.

The look of shock and awe I received could only be compared to the look of someone who was just insulted in the most personal way. Granted, it's food, I know they weren't offended or anything but I could feel the confusion envelope the room.
"Who does that?" he asked.
Is Montana Missing Out?
Maybe it's a southern thing because down in Texas, you can visit several places (ever hear of Whataburger?) where chicken tenders are served up with white gravy and what they call "Traditional Texas Toast", which is just a large triangle piece of toasted bread.
When I took a poll around the office, I only had one person who ever heard of the combo while others said, "Nope, I'll stick with ranch."
Now, look - I get it, there's no major shock on my end like "OH MY GOSH, HOW HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF THIS?!"
For me, it's more like: "Oh wow, we need to spread the good word of chicken n' white gravy!"

I really think people who haven't tried this are missing out and I firmly believe there are several spots in town who are willing to whip this up for you. And why shouldn't they? It's absolutely delicious.
But, I wanna hear from you - are there any food combos similar to this that are exclusive to Montana or the area? What food combo am *I* missing out on? Share them with me HERE!
