This Popular Kitchenware May Soon Be Gone In Montana
One of the most iconic kitchenware companies recently announced Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings.
I would wager that there's hardly a kitchen in Montana without some Tupperware items.
Growing up in the 80s and 90s, Tupperware was a staple in households, and it has been since 1946 when Earl Tupper started the company.
I can vividly remember Tupperware containers filled with various things on the counter at my grandma's house.
Oh, and let's not forget the parties that kicked off a whole new way of selling these handy storage containers to your friends. haha

Tupperware Sales Decline
Despite its cultural hold in America, Tupperware sales have declined due to intensified competition and challenges adapting to its direct customer model.
Also, concerns over plastic and involving consumer preferences have dramatically impacted the business.
To try and save the company, Tupperware has diversified by adding beauty and personal care products to its line up to boost sales.
Unfortunately, the company is facing over $1.2 billion in debt, which is why it has been forced to file bankruptcy.
Tupperware's Future
The company claims that they are going to look at a more digital based business model moving forward.
They hope this will rejuvenate their market presence and help them better adapt to customers' buying preferences.
It is unknown what will happen to Tupperware in the long term, but one thing is for sure, this iconic brand will forever live on in the minds of consumers here in the United States.
