Cascade County Homicide: Why Haven’t They Released a Suspect Photo?
Cascade County Sheriff's Office and local law enforcement continue to search for clues to help solve the homicide of Terrell Johnson, a 25-year-old from Harlem, Montana.
CCSO is continuing to provide updates and has more important information about autopsy reports, evidence, and even explaining why they're approaching the investigation the way they are.
Cascade County Homicide Update: Autopsy Report
In a video from Cascade County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, Sheriff Jesse Slaughter confirmed that the homicide victim's cause of death was due to "multiple stab wounds."
Sheriff Slaughter also added that he requested "expedited evidentiary process" in this case from Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen which was granted.

Slaughter also added that more evidence is being analyzed down at the crime lab and thanked AG Knudsen for his help.
It was at this point in the video when Sheriff Slaughter turned his attention to all of the chatter about the case on social media.
Cascade County Homicide Investigators React To Social Media Scrutiny
Now, as we've been sharing this story with you on social media and following the case, we've noticed several folks attempting to "call out" law enforcement for not sharing photos of the "suspect" or any other specific details.
Sheriff Slaughter noticed as well and pulled back the curtain for the keyboard warriors:
One of the things that I want to bring up that I've seen on social media in some of the comments is 'give us a description of the suspect', 'give us a picture of the suspect', and what not. We're not doing that intentionally and the reason we're not doing that intentionally, and I understand people's frustrations on it, is because we need to corroborate this suspect information through our interviews.
Whether they're witness interviews or suspect interviews, or what have you... we have to be able to corroborate that evidence.
It makes total sense and none of us would want to see this case get compromised because preliminary and inaccurate information got out there about the suspect.
But that doesn't mean we won't see who the suspect is before they're captured.

"If later in the investigation that becomes appropriate, then we will release that information to the public for their assistance."
Cascade County Homicide Update: Sheriff Slaughter's Thanks to the Community
Now, if you've ever met Sheriff Slaughter and had the opportunity to have a conversation with him like a lot of us have, you know he's fair. And that's why I'm not the least bit surprised he took the time to thank the public for their assistance in the investigation up to this point.
"I would like to take a second and also really thank the public for all of their assistance, we have received multiple good leads due to the public's participation in this investigation," Sheriff Slaughter said.
"The public has been tremendous with timely information and good evidence, whether it's helped the case or whether it's helped us rule somebody out in this investigation."
Sheriff Slaughter promises more updates to come, and we should hear something by the end of this week or in the beginning of next week.
