Rubber Found In Johnsonville Sausage: What Montana Consumers Need To Know
So, here's the deal: Salm Partners, LLC, out of Denmark, Wisconsin, is in a bit of a pickle.
They're recalling about 35,430 pounds of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage because, get this, there might be bits of rubber mixed in.
Yeah, you heard that right! This news just dropped courtesy of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
Johnsonville Turkey Sausage Recall Details
These sausages, made on October 30-31, 2023, are the ones you gotta watch out for:
- They come in 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages labeled "Johnsonville POLISH KIELBASA TURKEY."
- Check the best-by dates, which should be "05/17/24" or "05/18/24."
- Look for the establishment number "P-32009" on the packaging. If you see it, it's part of the recall.
- And guess what? They've been shipped to stores all across the country.
How They Found Out
Apparently, some folks found rubber pieces in their sausage, which is not the kind of surprise anyone wants in their meal.
What You Should Do
No need to panic, but definitely don't chow down on these sausages.
If you've got 'em in your fridge, toss 'em out or take 'em back to the store where you bought 'em.
What's Next?
FSIS is on the case, doing their thing to make sure everyone knows about the recall and that these sausages disappear from store shelves.
