At the Lewis and Clark festival, you can learn about the significance of the expedition and their stay in Great Falls in 1805.

Reenactors will be on hand to answer questions and provide demonstrations.

The festival will kick off with master storyteller Moki Hipol. He'll share the stories of some of America's most notable mountain men, George Drouillard and Jean Baptist, to life. The evening also includes:

Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Encampment Presentations: Bullboat exhibit, living history of George Catlin, and a portrayal of the mountain men following the expedition.
• Demonstrations:
  • Swivel gun demo at 9:30 AM.
  • Atlatl demo at 10:00 AM.
  • Beaver skinning at 11:00 AM.
  • Kootenai Salish Dancers at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
• Lewis & Clark Adventure Challenge: From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, this family-friendly activity features six different stations focusing on various expedition aspects. Upon completion, participants will receive an adventure map, swag bag, instructions, and a memento.
