The Montana Supreme Court has upheld an assault conviction of a man sentenced in Cascade County in 2019. The high court says the district court judge did not error in the proceedings that convicted Beau Miller, 32, of pointing a gun at another man and threatening him. Police say the victim reportedly owed Miller money.

Miller has three prior felony convictions in Montana and is now serving a nine-year sentence in the Montana State Prison.
