Both the Associated Press and the Seattle Times have have issued public information request on Montana Law Enforcement. The head of the Montana Public Safety Officers Standards and Training Council, Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter, says they are asking for all information on every officer in the state.

Slaughter says he thinks he knows why. He believes this is being done to create a narrative that is anti law enforcement. He says the requests have been made in other states as well.

The POST Council met today behind closed doors with the state attorney generals office to discuss what options they have going forward.
