More details today into the deaths of three people Sunday evening in East Glacier.  The FBI now says 39-year-old David Siau of Syracuse, New York was shot and killed by 37-year-old Derick Madden.  After shooting Siau,  Madden then shot Siau's wife, Christy and their 18-month-old daughter Mckenzie.  The wife survived and is a local hospital.  The 18-month-old daughter died.

The FBI says Madden then ran out of bullets and pulled a knife on 30-year-old Christina Siau.  Officials say Madden and Christina once were in a relationship.  The FBI says Christina was able to kill Madden during their scuffle.

David Siau, his wife and family were in East Glacier to visit his sister, Christina when the attack took place.  Authorities say Madden had been working in East Glacier and apparently saw the family out for a walk Sunday evening when he began his attack and that Madden had been suffering from mental health issues.

Both women are in a local hospital recovering and have yet to be interviewed.  in a prepared release, authorities say detectives are working tirelessly to find all the details and circumstances surrounding what they called, this horrific event.

A GOFUNDME account has been set up to contribute to the medical bills of Christy and Christina Siau and so far $50,000 has been donated.

East Glacier is a  town of about 300 just southwest of Browning in Northwestern Montana near Glacier National Park.
