It has been an active few days for Great Falls Fire Rescue, as yet another house fire broke out early Tuesday morning.
The fire on Tuesday, March 25th, happened at 741 32nd Ave NE.
Great Falls House Fire Details
Great Falls Fire Rescue arrived at the scene at 3:35 AM and noticed visible smoke from the front of the house.
Two of the home's occupants had already evacuated; however, one was searching for their cats in the basement.
Fire crews instructed the third individual to leave the basement immediately through an egress window.
Once fire crews entered the home, they quickly extinguished the fire.
Fire Engine 4 arrived soon after and helped prevent the fire from spreading into the basement.
Due to the severity of the fire, additional firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
The home's occupants were a father, son, and girlfriend.
The individuals did have varying degrees of exposure to smoke.
The father, who first detected the smoke, was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The son and his girlfriend did not require medical attention.

Cause Of House Fire
After investigation, Great Falls Fire Rescue determined that the fire originated from a malfunctioning video game controller and its charging station.
The fire caused damage to the living room, and the smoke caused further damage upstairs.
The basement only sustained minor damage from the blaze.
The American Red Cross was on site to support the family and their pets.
Three of the four cats were found shortly after the fire, and the search for the fourth continues.
