
Governor Gianforte Celebrates Montana’s Ag Community with Huge Honor
When I first moved to Montana about six months ago, one of the things I heard most about was Montana's ag community.
Since then, I've had the opportunity to go to my first MAGIE event, meet some amazing folks in the industry, and then some. My biggest takeaway?
the Montana ag community is truly something special.
Governor Gianforte Honors Montana Ag Community with Proclamation
Governor Gianforte has visited with 560 KMON before to talk about his passion for Montana agriculture and emphasized the importance of Montana's farmers to America.
"We're working on trying to make sure that next generation farmer can get in on some ground and make a living here because it's so important to what we do and make sure to the extent we're opening up and expanding markets around the world," Gianforte said in his interview with 560 KMON back in January.
"We want to make sure there's places for this grain to flow and we get paid for the high-quality grains we produce here."

Gianforte enacted on his passion for Montana ag this week with a proclamation dedicating this month to celebrating the ag industry.
"Montana’s farmers and ranchers don’t just feed our state, they help power our economy and sustain the Montana way of life," Governor Gianforte said in an official news release.
"Agriculture Month is an opportunity to recognize the hardworking producers who make our state proud and keep Montana agriculture strong for future generations."
According to the proclamation, March 2026 is Montana Agriculture Month, March 22-28 is Montana Agriculture Week, and March 23, 2026 is Montana Agriculture Day.
